🥈 Dmytro Kozii and Sviatoslav Nahornyi claim silver at BPT Futures Corigliano Rossano!

The BPT Futures Corigliano Rossano international beach volleyball tournament took place in Corigliano-Rossano, Italy, from 17 to 20 September 2026.

🇺🇦 Ukraine was represented in the men’s competition by Dmytro Kozii / Sviatoslav Nahornyi, coached by Serhii Popov. Seeded No. 7, the Ukrainian duo played five matches, won four of them and finished the tournament with the silver medals.

🇺🇦 Kozii/Nahornyi topped Pool B after recording two straight-set victories. They defeated the Netherlands’ van der Wel/Bezemer 2–0 (21–17, 21–18) and Italy’s Andreatta/Acerbi 2–0 (21–17, 21–15). Finishing first in their pool allowed the Ukrainians to bypass the Round of 12 and advance directly to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinal, Kozii/Nahornyi continued their winning run with a 2–0 victory over Bulgaria’s Mehandzhiyski/Kalchev (21–14, 21–18).

The semifinal against Germany’s Hajós/Niemeier proved to be their toughest battle. After dropping the opening set 14–21, the Ukrainians turned the match around, taking the next two sets 21–18 and 15–13 to secure a place in the final.

In the gold-medal match, Kozii/Nahornyi faced Italy’s Rossi/Lupo. The home team prevailed in two close sets, 21–17, 21–19.

As a result, Dmytro Kozii and Sviatoslav Nahornyi finished second at BPT Futures Corigliano Rossano, earning 360 ranking points and $1,050 in prize money.
