Ukraine’s Serdiuk and Romaniuk Crowned Champions at U22 EuroBeachVolley 2025!

A historic triumph for Ukrainian beach volleyball!

At the U22 EuroBeachVolley 2025 in Baden, Austria, the Ukrainian duo Yeva Serdiuk and Daria Romaniuk claimed the gold medal, writing a new chapter in the sport’s history.

Road to Glory

The Ukrainians delivered confident and consistent performances throughout the tournament:

Round of 16: victory over Slovakia’s Majernikova/Dancova [24]2:0 (21-7, 21-10).

Quarterfinal: dominant win against Norway’s Mol/Sunde [15]2:0 (21-8, 21-11).

Semifinal: a dramatic first set and a strong finish against Switzerland’s Bossart/Kernen [11]2:0 (28-26, 21-14).

Final: a decisive victory over Czech sisters Pavelková K./Pavelková A. [2]2:0 (21-16, 21-18).

🇺🇦 Men’s Pair – Yaroslav Tymchenko & Dmytro Kozii

The Ukrainian men’s duo delivered an impressive performance, showcasing quality and determination throughout the competition. They finished in 5th place, falling just short of the semifinals after a quarterfinal loss to Lithuania’s Palubinskas/Piesina [13]0:2 (14-21, 19-21). A strong and promising result for the young team.

🇺🇦 Women’s Pair – Sofiia Kurnikova & Iryna Nikitchuk

The pair successfully advanced from the group stage to the Round of 24, finishing the tournament in 17th place. They battled hard against Czech team Knoblochova/Petrikova [28], but fell in three sets – 1:2 (21-18, 8-21, 11-15). This was a valuable international experience that will help their future growth.
